When my parents immigrated from Lebanon to Waterbury in the 1980s, they followed in the footsteps of one of my uncles, Joseph Shibley Tajildeen, who owned Tajildeen’s Corner on East Main and Cherry.
Now, as a lifelong Waterbury resident and homeowner in the Bouley Manor neighborhood of the East End, I believe that Waterbury residents have a right to transparent, active, and dedicated representation in local government— and that is what I’ll bring to the city.
